Serving Our Sentinels provides a variety of assistance to Veterans and their families based on their unique needs.  We operate "under the radar" in order to protect privacy. Over the years, our services have included:

              • Securing housing and furnishings
              • Assisting with home and autorepairs
              • Paying rent
              • Aiding with emergency funds
              • Finding guidance for financial budgeting
              • Arranging for child care
              • Providing educational assistance
              • Assisting in the purchase of a service dog
              • Paying for Meals on Wheels
              • Assisting with groceries
              • Providing continual mentoring
              • Mailing letters and packages to deployed troops

We work with a Network Coordination Center, having contacts with local charitable organizations specifically established to assist Veterans. We receive an average of 3 to 4 referrals per week. By using the networking system, a Veteran needs only to make one phone call, and the coordination center does the rest.  Our specific outreach is helping with "Emergency/One-time  Financial Assistance."  If a Veteran calls us with a need that we can not fill, we will pass on the information to the Center who will contact an organization that can--thereby still only one phone call away from help. We, at Serving Our Sentinels, receive many requests from local VA's & caseworkers, as well, through the networking system.
